# Client End User License Agreement

<p class="legal-updated">Last updated: 18 October 2026</p>
<p class="legal-updated">Agreement version: 2026-10-18.2</p>

Katteli Inc. (“**Katteli**,” “**we**,” “**us**,” or “**our**”)

This End User License Agreement (the “**EULA**”) licenses the Machine client and the SDK core. It is part of the Agreement under the
[Terms of Service](/machine/legal/terms-of-service.md) (the “**Terms**”).
“**Customer**” and “**Services**” have the meanings given in the Terms.

## 1. Licensed Software, ownership and license

“**Licensed Software**” means all proprietary software Katteli makes available
for use with the Services, including the client program `machine` (the
“**Client**”), the compiled core the TestFlows™ Machine Python SDK runs on (the
“**SDK Core**”), and their components, agents and updates, other than
open-source components under Section 3.

Katteli and its licensors retain all right, title and interest in the Licensed
Software. No rights are granted except those expressly stated in this EULA, and
no license is granted by implication.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable
license to install and run the Licensed Software on computers you control,
including build machines and containers you run, only to use the Services for
your internal business purposes while your account is open. The Licensed
Software is licensed, not sold. Only a copy downloaded with the official
installer for your account is licensed.

The Licensed Software may be used by you and by your personnel and contractors
acting solely on your behalf under your account (your “**Authorized Users**”).
You are responsible for every Authorized User’s compliance with this EULA.

You may keep copies on computers, backups, build caches and container images
you control, for use only by you, your organization and your Authorized Users.

## 2. Restrictions

Without our prior written authorization, and except where applicable law
prohibits a restriction in this section, you shall not, directly or indirectly,
and shall not permit any person or tool to, in whole or in part:

- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, decrypt or otherwise attempt to
derive the source code, algorithms, structure, protocols, interfaces or
  non-public APIs of the Licensed Software;
- probe, scan, penetration test, vulnerability test or exploit the Licensed
Software, circumvent its sign-in, license, usage-credit or security controls,
  or use it to obtain unauthorized access to a system, account or data;
- clone, reimplement or imitate the Licensed Software, or use it to build a
  competing product;
- modify the Licensed Software, make a derivative work of it, or remove or
  alter its notices, signatures or protections;
- distribute, publish, share or host the Licensed Software, or make it
available in any form to a person other than an Authorized User, including in
an image or a package for others to use. Any other person gets the Licensed
Software only by downloading it for their own account; or
- use the Licensed Software with anything other than the Services.

An AI system is a tool under this section, and you are responsible for the AI
systems you use. An AI system may operate the Licensed Software and read its
output for your own work, on systems that process it only for you. It may not
be used to reproduce the Licensed Software, recover its protocol, train a model
on it, or do anything else this section forbids.

## 3. Open-source components

The Licensed Software includes open-source components, including CPython under
the PSF License, zstd under the BSD-3-Clause license, and, on Linux, the GNU C
Library under the LGPL-2.1 and libgcc_s under the GPL-3.0 with the GCC Runtime
Library Exception. Those components are governed by their own licenses, which
prevail over this EULA for those components. Every open-source component in a
release is named, with its license text, in the notices file that accompanies
the Licensed Software. Copies are also available from `legal@testflows.com`.

On Linux, you may reverse engineer the launcher only to debug a modification
of the GNU C Library, and you may relink the launcher with a modified library
for your own use. For three years after a release, we will give you, for no
more than the cost of distribution, the corresponding source of that library
and of libgcc_s, and the object files of the launcher needed to relink it.
Ask `legal@testflows.com`.

## 4. Acceptance and end of the license

The Licensed Software is downloaded only for an account that has accepted the
current Agreement version. When the Agreement version has changed since the
account last accepted it, the installer presents the changed documents and
records a new acceptance before downloading. An automated download with an API
key requires the account to have accepted the current Agreement version in
advance.

The license ends when your account is closed, if you do not accept a changed
EULA presented for acceptance, or automatically if you materially breach this
EULA, including any breach of Section 2. Any other breach ends the license if
it is not cured within ten (10) days after we notify you. You may not keep
using the Licensed Software under a previous version.

When the license ends, stop using the Licensed Software and delete the Client,
the SDK Core and every other copy, except a copy kept only in a routine backup
or under a legal retention duty, which may not be used and must be deleted in
the ordinary retention cycle. If the license ends because you did not accept a
changed EULA or because you breached this EULA, you must also close your
account under the Terms.

The restrictions in Section 2 on copying, distribution, circumvention and use
of non-public material survive for so long as that material is protected. The
restriction on building a competing product applies while the license runs and
for two (2) years after it ends, and only to development based on the Licensed
Software or on non-public material obtained under this EULA.

## 5. Relationship to the Terms

The Terms govern the Services and this EULA governs the Licensed Software.
Sections 11, 12, 14 and 17 of the Terms apply to the Licensed Software as they
apply to the Services.
